2024 Hiking event for Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students
The Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division held the "Hike for Over-seas and Mainland Chinese Students" on November 16, with 145 students participating. The hiking route followed the historic Caoling Trail in Yilan. In the afternoon, students visited the Sabrina Print Museum to enjoy a hands-on DIY printmaking experience. This activity aimed to help students unwind and connect with nature after their midterm exams while exploring the beauty of Taiwan's culture and environment.
Invitation: NTU Beyond Borders Program Info Session
In 2025, NTU will launch the "NTU Beyond Borders international exchange program", which encompasses three main categories: "Academic Exchange," "Experiential Learning," and "Student Exchange." Each year, we plan to support 400 outstanding students to participate in internships, practicums, or entrepreneurial projects at leading universities, corporations, and NGOs abroad during winter and summer breaks. This initiative aims to broaden students' global perspectives, strengthen cross-cultural communication skills, and foster interdisciplinary learning and growth. To provide further insights into this program, we will hold an information session and warmly invite interested students to join us. A complimentary meal box will be provided for attendees. The NTU Career Center will launch a graduate tracking survey on June 17, inviting domestic alumni from the academic years 2023, 2021, and 2019 to complete an online questionnaire. Your feedback is crucial for the university's development, course planning, and higher education talent cultivation policies. It will help enhance education quality, adjust teaching methods and course design, improve alumni services, and optimize talent development models. Starting from July 1, we will conduct phone interviews with those who have not completed the questionnaire. Your opinions will be strictly confidential. Five systems of OSA including "Personal Information of Advisee", "Physical and Mental Health Assessment Online System", "Counseling & Case Management System", "Web of Student Safety" and "National Taiwan University Health Check-Up Information System" meet the requirements and have received the certification of the international standard information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001:2013. The Office of Student Affairs will continue to reinforce the power providing more solid information security.
Guarantee of The Meat Quality Program Launches
In order to ensure the food safety on campus and improve the meat quality management of NTU, all restaurants should fallow the rules of Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (Ministry of Health and Welfare) on labelling the origin of the meat as well as the regulations of MOE. Spot checks of meat and processed meat products at restaurants on campus have also been strengthened. Ten restaurants will to be checked each week since March 2, 2021. The testing result will be announced on the website of the NTU Dining Services Committee.
